In the current global effort to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and universal health coverage (UHC), maternity care is squarely in the center. Since the year 2000 coverage of facility delivery and skilled birth attendance increased, while the maternal mortality ratio decreased, at rates slower than hoped for, partially because of inadequate quality of care.

This study investigates the effect of the health component in DigI, a digital health intervention, aiming to increase health literacy related to HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Taenia solium cysticercosis/taeniosis. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be applied, measuring the change in health literacy in individuals recruited through a non-randomised controlled trial, before and after the intervention (see below).

The Centre for Global Health and Faculty of Medicine, UiO, welcome you to an inaugural seminar on the occasion of visiting colleagues from Jimma University, Ethiopia.
