A need for precision medicine in childhood cancer is evident, but in order to implement robust and durable therapy we need to have a better understanding of the molecular targets.
FGF receptors, FGFRs, are often implicated in childhood
sarcoma. By describing the rewiring of signal propagation and regulation of FGFRs in cancer, we will identify novel strategies for therapeutic intervention. We hope to discover combination therapies and to identify improved biomarkers for FGFR aberrant cancers.
