The Kuijjer group at NCMM have published a new article in the open access journal BMC Cancer.

NCMM group leader Irep Gözen recently published a perspectives article in ACS Nano, where she presents a new hypothesis for how cells were first able to divide on the early earth. 

Center members Frøydis Skottvoll, Simon Rayner, Gareth Sullivan, Stefan Krauss, Steven Ray Wilson and Sean Harrison have a new publication in the journal Electrophoreses, titled: 3D cell culture models and organ‐on‐a‐chip: Meet separation science and mass spectrometry

NCMM was pleased to host several representatives from the European Research Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS) for the first national EATRIS Norway meeting earlier this week. The meeting was followed by a communications workshop for EATRIS national coordinators, and an open seminar by EATRIS Operations and Finance Director Anton Ussi.

Hosted by EMBL Barcelona, the 3^rd annual EMBL Partnership Conference took place from 25-27 September 2019. A total of 25 NCMM members attended the meeting, including those who delivered talks and presented posters.

The Centre for Global Health (CGH) at the University of Oslo (UiO)’s Medical Faculty is proud to announce that we have received support for the work and output of The Lancet One Health Commission from the UiO Life Science Open Call.

Acknowledging the enormous progress when it comes to polio and the Polio Endgame Strategy 2019-2023, the Global Health Centre (GHC) at the Graduate Institute of International Development Studies and the Norwegian think tank, Agenda, in association with the Centre for Global Health, UiO, held a high-level policy dialogue with an expert panel.

NCMM was pleased to welcome Dr Leland Mayne from the University of Pennsylvania for a three-week visit during September. Dr Mayne is an expert in hydrogen-deuterium exchange coupled to mass spectrometry (HDX-MS), and his knowledge and guidance will help to establish excellent standards for HDX-MS at NCMM.

Congratulations to the NORSE team for obtaining funding for the creation of a multidisciplinary network of scientists leveraging their efforts to develop a National One Health Resistome Surveillance System in order to monitor the development and dissemination of antimicrobial resistance in the environment, the food chain, in animals and humans.

Earlier this year the Research Council of Norway (RCN) announced 270 MNOK for research on digital innovation, of which a CINPLA group has been awarded 16 MNOK for a new project.

Professor Peter Daszak, President of the EcoHealth Alliance and Commissioner in the Lancet One Health Commission chaired by the Centre for Global Health (CGH) at UiO, gave a talk to a captivated multidisciplinary audience at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute in Oslo on August 28^th.

The RELIGHT advisory board, an external and international board set up by the Centre for Global Health (CGH) at the University of Oslo (UiO), has reviewed the applications for the RELIGHT call (deadline 28 February 2019). We are thrilled to present the three groups that will have the opportunity to advance their Global Health agenda through project development support from CGH over the next three years.

As one of the Centre for Global Health's Signatory Themes, One Health takes a holistic, cross and multidisciplinary view and aims to promote and improve the health of humans, animals and the environment taking into account the interdependence of different milieus.
