I have worked at UiO for 25 years both at the faculty and at the institute at HELSAM in economics. I therefore know UiO well. In the past, I have worked as a manager, teacher, course holder, employee consultant and economist with IT. I therefore have a good foundation for understanding how the organization works for the various positions of the technical / administrative staff here at the faculty.
I have been representative for technical / administrative staff of the institute council at HELSAM for the period 2010-18. I would like to run for a candidate for the Faculty Board elections 2018, because I wish to develop the faculty to the best for technical / administrative staff. I believe in democratic rules and decisions, and believe it is important that also the technical / administrative employees needs to be heard, understood and taken seriously - this is what we ought to fight for. Suggestions regarding the scientific staff also affect our work situation, as our function is to support the scientific staff.
Democracy needs employees who are not afraid to speak their voices. I will be an uneasy voice to state my views of what I believe is to the best for the technical/admin staff and the students at the faculty. It is important to ensure open and good processes also in the future. The Faculty's most important resource is our employees. The main goals are inclusion, participation and a good working environment for all at our workplace.
