Position: Postdoctoral Fellow
Work Place: Department of Anesthesiology, Institute of Clinical Medicine
I had the opportunity to study Medicine at the University of Leicester, UK (2003-2009) through an international study program offered by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. Subsequently, I worked as a doctor in London, UK for several years (2009-2016), gaining experience in general medicine, anaesthesia and intensive care. Specialty training in anaesthetics involves participating routinely in multidisciplinary teams spanning specialities and professions. This background has made me appreciate the value of combining perspectives, experience and skills sets across strong subspeciality groups. I carry this multidisciplinary focus with be in my current research and teaching roles.
By encouraging co-operation I wish to contribute to shaping a strong faculty well equipped to play its role in society by helping to tackle current and future challenges to health.
