Key elements of election program
The Faculty Board is responsible for setting primary goals, priorities and strategies for the Faculty activities as well as approval of budgets and accounts, annual reports and strategic plans. Stable management tools and operating conditions are crucial for the Faculty’s institutes and units. I will dedicate thorough work to these matters. I will pay extra attention to matters that can contribute to make the Medical Faculty an attractive work place for technical and administrative staff and all other staff categories.
As representative, I will particularly emphasize the following:
- Contribute to evaluate and influence the Faculty’s strategic priorities from a technical and administrative standpoint
- Strengthen administrative and technical support functions to research, education and dissemination
- Increase focus on opportunities for competence enhancement and development for technical and administrative staff
- Take care of and develop a good work environment
Position of trust
I have been working at the Institute of Clinical Medicine since 2009, first as senior adviser in Centers of Excellence and later as manager of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction’s administration. As from January 2023, I will move to the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences as section manager for education management and administrative services. Consequently, I will benefit from experience from two of the Faculty’s institutes in my contribution to the Board’s work. My educational background includes an executive master of management degree. During my time at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, I have gathered broad experience from research administration, financial and administrative management. Since early 2022, I have been responsible for the ARK work environment process in all Division administrations at the Institute. I am particularly interested in subjects such as work environment, learning environment, and collaborative culture.
