Position of trust
I have been employed at the Faculty of Medicine since 2008, and I am very familiar with the Faculty structure and organization. I spent the years 2008-2018 in the Faculty administration, where I was assigned the secretarial tasks for the management meetings, including the Faculty board meetings. I worked with a wide range of focus areas at the Faculty of medicine, including the reorganization of the Faculty when Oslo University Hospital was established, the 200-year anniversary of the Faculty, establishing the Postdoctoral program and the scientific collaboration with Russia.
Since 2018, I have had the chance to learn more about what happens in the research groups and environments at the Faculty of medicine. I work at the Institute of clinical medicine, Division of laboratory medicine and Division of radiology and nuclear medicine. In my current position, I work with recruitment, in addition to handling secretarial tasks for the management meetings. I am also directly involved as administrative support in research projects, being the administrative coordinator of UiO FOCIS CoE and an INTPART project.
Based on my experiences, I have developed a keen interest in building bridges and facilitating communication between the different levels of the organization and between different occupational groups. The distance between the Faculty level and the Division can be perceived as quite substantial, and I think it is important to include representatives situated near the research environments into the Faculty board, also from technical-administrative positions. I think that my experience and knowledge of the different challenges and needs can be a fruitful contribution to the Faculty board.
