The research ombudsman is a service to employees at the University of Oslo, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Akershus University Hospital and Oslo University Hospital, as well as other researchers and students without employment who conduct research at the mentioned institutions.

What can we do for you?
- Advice and guidance in research ethics issues.
- Assist in resolving specific cases as early as possible and at the lowest possible level in the institution, including acting as a conflict resolver / mediator within the research ombudsman's mandate.
- Assist as a resource person as part of the institutions' preventive measures, including courses and training.

The University Board established the research ombudsman with its own mandate. The mandate describes The Research Ombudsman's function, role and tasks.
