Research infrastructure

Many research groups at the Faculty require extensive and expensive research infrastructure. The Faculty has core facilities and other infrastructure in place to meet these needs.

Core facilities

A core facility is a particularly equipment-intensive specialist laboratory serving internal and external researchers. The Faculty has around 20 core facilities. Many of these are run in collaboration with the university hospitals and other research communities.

Other research infrastructure

In addition to the core facilities, the Faculty also has a number of other service laboratories. Information about these can be found on the institutes’ pages relating to research infrastructure.
