Scientific Excellence Research Thematic Area (SERTA) is the name of research networks comprised of research groups from previous Centers of Excellence.
These research groups all represent research activity at the highest international level:

- Genome integrity
- Healthy brain ageing

HERO is a research network that facilitates research in health economics at the University of Oslo.
