Funding for heart and stroke research - Norwegian Health Association

Funding is available for doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships and running costs within heart and stroke research. Deadline: 2 September, 2024.

The Norwegian Health Association is a voluntary, humanitarian organization working with public health, research into cardiovascular diseases and dementia and promoting the interest of people with dementia and the next of kin.

Scope

The call funds research projects in coronary disease and stroke increasing knowledge of:

  • Causation and mechanisms of diseases 
  • Risk factors 
  • Diagnosing 
  • Preventing 
  • Treating 
  • Rehabilitation 
  • Research gaps 
  • Gender disparities

Budget

The call funds salary and running costs corresponding to a three-year full position. The grant does not cover overhead costs or infrastructure costs. Grants for doctoral fellows and post-doctoral fellows lasts for three year, running costs for one year.

Who can apply

Cardiovascular researchers affiliated with a Norwegian research institution are eligible for funding. There will be no financial support for partners outside Norway.
