The Nordic Cancer Union (NCU) provides funding to support and stimulate collaborative cancer research within the Nordic countries. Funding is restricted to research that is in line with the NCUs research strategy. The prioritized research areas are
- Register-based epidemiological studies
- Comparative clinical epidemiological studies
- Clinical trials
Eligibility
The research project must be a collaborative effort between researchers from research institutions in three Nordic countries or more. However, if the project’s Nordic dimension is exceptionally strong, two different Nordic participating countries can be considered sufficient.
Funding
Each NCU research grant is provided for one year and can be renewed twice with a new, yearly application.
Annual grant sizes in the last years were mostly between 50 - 100.000 Euros.
Further information
Additional information on the call is available on the Nordic Cancer Union website, including the guidelines for NCU research grant applicants.
