Dermatology research - Leo Foundation

The Leo Foundation welcomes applications for dermatology research projects. Next deadline 12 September 2024, 16:00 CET.

Leo Foundation focuses on research projects that improve the understanding of the underlying medicinal, biological, chemical, or pharmacological mechanisms of dermatological diseases and their symptoms.

The foundation has three annual calls for research grants in open competition.  Calls open four weeks prior to the deadline. The next deadline is 12 September 2024.

Funding

The typical grant amount applied for is DKK 2–4 million for a period of 1–3 years. A maximum of 5% of the grant amount may be used for overhead expenses.

Below are some activites that are not supported

  • Graduate students below PhD students and/or academic fees except PhD-tuition fees
  • Research projects about skin cancer
  • Research projects involving commercial companies
  • Research projects involving commercial drug testing
  • Clinical trials and register-based studies testing medical compounds

Eligibility

Any researcher who has obtained at least a PhD degree or equivalent academic qualifications may apply. The applicant must be affiliated with a university, hospital, or other non-profit organization. The LEO Foundation welcomes applicants from anywhere in the world.
