Expected learning outcomes
- Be a professional supervisor of research students
- Be aware of your ethical responsibilities, qualifications and limitations as a supervisor
- Demonstrate the ability to familiarize oneself with and problematize various situations that may arise in the supervision situation, and show knowledge of models and tools that facilitate the supervision process
The course starts with 2-days of own presentations, lectures and group discussions. On day 3 everyone presents their "case". During the course, the participants share their own experiences of being supervised, and put this in relation to scientific literature with aspects of supervision in postgraduate education.
Participation
At least 80% attendance at the course is required. Attendance will be registered.
Course leaders
Aage Radmann is Professor in Sport Sociology at the Department of Teacher education and Outdoor Studies at Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, Oslo, Norway. He has published books and articles in the fields of sport sociology, media studies, gender studies and outdoor life.
Susanna Hedenborg is Professor in Sport Sciences at the Department of Sport Sciences, Malmö University Sweden. She has published a large number of books and articles in the fields of history, economic history, sociology of childhood, gender studies and equine studies.
