A winter excursion out of the lab is a wonderful way for our researchers from the whole world to explore the outskirts of Oslo, learn to know eachother and it can also be an introduction to history and culture.
This years excursion included a tour of the Roseslottet (The Rose Castle), an art installation and an educational project which aims to tell the story of how war puts the basic principles of democracy, the rule of law and humanism out of action.
As the Scientia Fellows programme is all about achievements through trusting transnational relations, these ideas and principles exposed through art are highly relevant to those beliefs and expectations that makes international scientific cooperation possible.
