Permit to take examination, number of examination attempts

A student cannot present her or himself for the examination in a course more than three times. An exemption from this rule may be made in special circumstances. The Faculty, represented by the Dean of Studies, makes the decision on any exemption with regards to the number of examination attempts. The application must be sent to the programme's Study Administration.

A student who has registered for an examination but who fails to attend the examination and has not withdrawn at least 14 days prior to the examination date will be registered as having "failed to attend the examination", which counts as one of the possible three examination attempts.
