Withdrawing from an examination. Rescheduled test

A legitimate withdrawal from an examination gives the right to take a re-scheduled test

Legitimate grounds for withdrawal are:

  • The student falls ill before the start of the examination (must be documented by a medical certificate)
  • The student falls ill during the examination (The students must see a doctor the same day, using the student health service if possible)
  • Other weighty concerns, such as the death of a close family member.

The medical certificate must be postmarked at the latest 3 days after the examination, and must include the examination date(s) in the case of one or more examination days,

Students who do not take an examination and do not have a legitimate reason for their absence, cannot take a re-scheduled examination but will be transferred to the following class. The absence is not counted as an examination attempt or as a failed examination.

For students who are transferred to the following class after an examination, the following priorities will be made in admittance to the class below:

  1. Students who are ill and who hand in a medical certificate for the examination
  2. Students who fail the examination
  3. Students who do not attend the examination

Students will be transferred immediately following the examination results
