Study programmes in English

All bachelor’s programmes at the University of Oslo are taught in Norwegian. These are our master’s programmes offered in English.

European Master in Health Economics and Management (master's - 2 years)

The European Master in Health Economics and Management (Eu-HEM) offers a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary studies of methods and health economics, management, leadership, health policy, governance and law at European universities.

Health Economics, Policy and Management (master's - 2 years)

The Master’s Degree Programme in Health Economics, Policy, and Management is a multidisciplinary programme that encompasses a wide array of courses within Economics, Political Science and Medicine. The programme also allows students to choose between a variety of elective courses within other relevant fields, and provides opportunities for taking some courses abroad. This Master's Degree aims at providing both a broad and relevant academic foundation within its core subject areas, and practical skills for a future career in management in various parts of the health sector.

MPhil in International Community Health (master's - 2 years)

The MPhil in International Community Health is a research based master program. Studying it, you will acquire knowledge and skills to understand and critically assess issues related to international community health from global to local level. We focus both on providing familiarity with essential knowledge, research methods and on placing this into a broader context of how communities and their health are embedded in societies. The master's thesis is based on your field work, which can be done in different countries around the globe.

Medicine

The Professional Programme in Medicine does not offer a separate admission procedure for international applicants. All applicants have to apply as residing applicants, which means that you have to give proof of proficiency in Norwegian prior to admission.

Medicine at the University of Oslo is a six-year professional programme taught in Norwegian. There is no graduate entry to the programme. See information in English
