Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål

Students on the professional study programme in Medicine attend teaching at Ullevål every semester, except for the two first years. This is also a site for supervised professional training for medical students.

Mobility – Mobility-impaired students can receive their own parking permit.

You will find the following in the hospital area

  • Teaching rooms and group rooms
  • 5 reading rooms
  • PC rooms
  • Pathology self-study room
  • Medical library
  • Simulation centre
  • Learning centre (primarily for patients and next-of-kin)
  • Photocopying – Photocopiers are available to students in the University's teaching centre in the Laboratory building (building 25), and in the basement of Frederik Holsts hus.
  • Changing rooms on the 4th floor of the Medical building (building 3) and in the basement of building 36 (Eye Department• Showers in the basement, Medical building, and in the basement of the Eye Department
  • Student lounge on the 4th floor of the Medical building (building 3), 1st floor of the Laboratory building (building 25), and in connection with the A&E (building 4), there is a
  • Break room in connection with the student lounge on the 4th floor of the Medical building (building 3).
  • An ID card is necessary, as is a white lab coat in many cases.

There are notice boards outside/in most of the auditoriums, and in the student room on the 4th floor of the Medical building (building 3). Both the receptions in the Medical and Surgery clinics have pigeon-holes for student records and messages.

Clinical mental health and addiction

  • Some departments/units are located at other sites than Kirkeveien 166, such as the district psychiatric centres and the children and youth psychiatric departments at Sogn.
  • The groups have teaching at the departments at which an instructor is employed, and on the 4th floor of building 20, Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål.
