About Signe E. Åsberg
Signe E. Åsberg holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). During her PhD, Åsberg investigated the interplay between macrophages, antibiotic therapy and mycobacteria at the level of single cells and single bacteria. Åsberg’s main interest is the global challenge of infectious diseases. As a research coordinator, she facilitates translation of medical research into the health care system, thus reducing the burden of infectious diseases. Finally, Åsberg is a relentless popular science and user-oriented dissemination author having contributed to several blogs, scientific and mainstream articles.
