Primary care is the most important arena for health care service, as about 90 % of all health care consultations are given in this sector. However, the research activity in primary has traditionally been low. National as well as international strategies point at the need for isrtengheten primary care research to ensure development and enhanced performance and quality of primary care service.
The Institute of Health and Society provides an interdisciplinary research competence of high quality as partners in large and small projects in collaboration with primary care clinicians and managers.
Through common involvement and engagement we want to establish lasting relations need for bilateral translation between clinical practice and research.
