Foot function index (FFI-RS) - revised short form

The Foot Function Index (FFI-RS) is an instrument developed to assess foot health.

Type of instrument: Self-report questionnaire
Target group: The questionnaire is specific for the foot, but dependent on diagnosis
ICF-category : Body Functions and Structures; Activities and Participation
Use: Used by various professionals
Description: FFI- RS is a self-administered index consisting of 23 items divided into 4 dimensions:
•    Pain and stiffness
•    Difficulty
•    Activity limitations
•    Social aspects

The patient would be asked to rate the symptoms during the previous week on a 4-point Likert scale. Six of the questions have an extra rating, 5=irrelevant, which is not included in the scale. FFI-RS score calibration: 1-4 rescaled to 0-3 (1=0, 2=1, and so on). The sum of the scores is reported as a percentage of the highest possible total score (0% = best possible foot health, 100% = worst possible foot health).
