World Economic Forum: Look to Finland

In an essay published this week on the World Economic Forum's News Agenda, UiO researcher Ishita Barua explains why we should look to Finland when planning for future success.

In the essay "Three ways Finland leads the world - and education isn't one of them", published on the World Economic Forum's News Agenda this week, researcher Ishita Barua shines a light on how Finland is preparing for the future. The Finns' visions are omnipresent, and involves public education on Artificial Intelligence (AI), evidence based health care services and cutting edge technology in general. With these and other strategies, Barua says Finland is "punching way above its weight".
