The non-disclosure of a cancer diagnosis is relatively common in India. Studies have shown that many cancer patients are unaware of their disease. But how exactly is non-disclosure working in a hospital setting? What are patients told when they are not told that they have cancer?

M.Phil. Cynthia Khamala Wangamati at Institute of Health and Society will give a trial lecture on the given topic: “Comprehensive sexuality education: Adaptation and implementation challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa”.

MD. Andrea Solnes Miltenburg at Institute of Health and Society will give a trial lecture on the given topic: "Reducing the maternal and neonatal burden of infective morbidity in low resource settings".

The first meeting of the One Health Lancet Commission will take place in Oslo on the 9th and 10th of May 2019. The meeting will bring together the worlds top researchers from the field of One Health.

MPA Joackim Peter Kessy at Institute of Health and Society will be defending the thesis “Provision of microfinance services and integration of health education programs - Case of Northern Tanzania” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

Cand.med. Guro Haugen Fossum at Institute of Health and Society will give a trial lecture on the given topic: Which upper airway infections should be treated with antibiotics in primary health care? and which type of antibiotics should be used?

MPA Joackim Peter Kessy at Institute of Health and Society will give a trial lecture on the given topic: "What are saving groups and what are the challenges and opportunities in including non-financial services in such groups?"

The theme and title of this years conference is "Competence building for impact – time for revolution".

The talk draws on his forthcoming book The Soul of Care: The Moral Education of a Husband and Doctor.
