Objectives
To obtain new knowledge about the identification and treatment of depression among the elderly (>65 years) in Norwegian general practice. This will be done through a cross-sectional study that examines depressive symptoms among a population of elderly people who come for an appointment with their GP, and by trying out a collaborative model with geriatric psychiatrists and GPs in the treatment of elderly people with depression.
