About the project

Technology has become a part of our healthcare services and it is important to investigate the point of intersection between technology and care. The project will try to answer the question about how telecare impacts on the relationship between elderly caregivers and health care providers.

The design is explorative and descriptive.  A qualitative method has been chosen for data collection. In-dept interviews of caregivers and health care providers have been undertaken.  Printouts from a web based network have been obtained. The preparation of the data will be based on content analysis.

Objective

The main objective is to explore how the relation between elderly caregivers and health care providers develops when they use ICT as their main means of communication
