Candidates spend a few months in Oslo, while the majority of the project period is spent at home institution in Jimma or Addis and the collaboration is continued via internet. Three of the candidates are JU staff enrolled at the PhD program at UiO, the others enrolled as PhD students at JU or St.Paul's with co-advisors from UiO.
