About the project
This project explores potentialities for deployment of care technologies in relation to nutritional requirements and suggests future oriented practice models for home care. Changing diet and declining intake of food may contribute to malnutrition and threaten a person's physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Insufficient diet may also lead to higher demands for more practical help or higher care requirements.
We believe findings from the project can help maintain physical functioning, cognitive and mental capacity, social wellbeing, and facilitate home-based, independent living with necessary support. In this project we focus on nutrition - dietary intake, eating and drinking - in combination with emerging innovative care technologies.
