As a researcher you want to get your results published in a respected scientific journal. In this course, you will learn how to prepare your manuscript in order to increase the chance of being accepted for publication in the journal of your choice.

Course organisers are the University of Oslo, Oslo University Hospital, Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association, Annals of Internal Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine and Institute for Studies of the Medical Profession.

About the Course

  • All aspects of preparing a manuscript, such as planning, writing text, title and abstract, and constructing tables and figures, will be covered.
  • The course is highly interactive, with course participants working in small groups and receiving individual feedback on their own writing, figures, and tables.
  • The course faculty consists of experienced editors and researchers, most of whom have published in leading medical scientific journals, and including the executive editor of Annals of Internal Medicine, one of the most prestigious medical journals in the world.
  • Note: You are expected to submit a short abstract based on your scientific work

Practical information

Time: Monday 15. May to Tuesday 16. May, 08:30-16:00 

Course Fee: 7 000 NOK, including lunch, coffee, and diploma.

Registration is binding.

The course will be held in English.
