Andrea Solnes Miltenburg er nyansatt førsteamanuensis ved Avdeling for samfunnsmedisin og global helse, og forsker på fødselshjelp i Tanzania. Hun har nå mottatt 12 millioner i støtte fra Norsk forskningsråd til prosjektet. 

The Centre for Global Health will be present at the Arendalsuka for the first time, hosting an exciting panel about Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) together with Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

This study investigates the effect of the health component in DigI, a digital health intervention, aiming to increase health literacy related to HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Taenia solium cysticercosis/taeniosis. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be applied, measuring the change in health literacy in individuals recruited through a non-randomised controlled trial, before and after the intervention (see below). 

The Centre for Global Health and Faculty of Medicine, UiO, welcome you to an inaugural seminar on the occasion of visiting colleagues from Jimma University, Ethiopia. The seminar will focus on important Ethiopian health issues such as heart disease in children, meningococcal and Neglected Tropical Diseases.

I dette prosjektet arbeider vi for å utvikle og styrke forskning og forskerutdanning i folkehelse, helsevitenskapene og primærhelsetjenesten i Afrika generelt og Etiopia spesielt.

I vårt første tverrfaglige seminar ønsker vi å belyse hvordan ulike fagdisipliner innen global helseforskning tilnærmer seg ‘kvalitet’. Hvordan forsker ulike disipliner på kvalitet i helsetjenester - empirisk og metodisk - og hvordan kan disse utfylle hverandre?
