Thomas Combriat is a post-doctoral fellow that will work on understanding the interplay between mechanical excitation, especially sound waves, and cell differentiation.

After completing a master degree in Fundamental Physics/Biophysics, Thomas did his PhD on the acoustic of bubbly media at Liphy (Grenoble, France) especially working on the steady streaming flows created by microfluidic bubbles under ultrasonic excitation and the influence of the presence of bubbles on sound propagation in water.

At the Hybrid Technology Hub, Thomas is part of the convergence environment ABINO and will conceive and perform experiments in order to understand the influence of sound on cell differentiation.

In his spare time, Thomas conceives, makes and plays electronic instruments and likes to be outside for climbing journey and ski touring.
