The main aim of Håkon Høgsets project is to advance gastruloid technology towards a stage where organ induction occurs and develop confocal Raman spectroscopy methodologies for organoid and gastruloid tracking.

Håkon is joining us from the lab of HTH partner professor Molly Stevens at Imperial where he pioneered the use of confocal Raman spectroscopy on zebrafish embryos (Nat Commun. 2020Dec 2;11(1):6172. doi: 10.1038/s41467-020-19827-1). In 2016 Håkon was awarded Aker Scholarship to fund his PhD in the Stevens lab.
