Ethics

We develop a methodological framework for studying qualitative uncertainty in biological data, and ethics guidelines needed when using the organ on a chip-technology

“Organ on a chip” technology promises more effective and streamlined drugs testing in a more precise manner, reducing drug discovery cycles, animal suffering and late attrition rates during patient trials. However, associated ethical considerations need to be addressed.  We work on a methodological framework able to study qualitative uncertainty, on ethical issues of human/in silico hybrid interfaces and on ethical and legal issues of dynamic consent and patient involvement.
