Metabolomics
Core facility for targeted metabolomics at the Department of Nutrition
The core facility offers analysis of metabolites by mass spectrometry based technology and performs advanced analysis for most research groups at the department of nutrition, other departments at university of Oslo and Oslo university hospital. In addition, the core facility conducts analysis for external clients on a commercial basis.
Services
Our core facility conducts analyses on biological fluids and tissue biopsies using state-of-the-art instruments equipped with advanced software that is user-friendly, robust, and reproducible. These instruments also have applications for identifying new and unique small-molecule compounds.
In addition to our equipment and expertise, our core facility offers significant flexibility, allowing for the rapid development and establishment of new methods and analyses to meet both current and future needs.
Metabolomics:
We provide metabolite analysis using mass spectrometry-based technology. Our core facility performs advanced analyses for various research groups within the Department of Nutrition, other departments at the University of Oslo, and Oslo University Hospital.
Our core facility specializes in targeted metabolomics analyses. Targeted metabolite analysis quantifies a small number of metabolites with a high degree of accuracy. These techniques utilize stable isotopes (deuterium-labeled) as internal standards for quantification.
