The centre aims to be an internationally leading environment for competence in patient treatment, research, and education in clinical nutrition.
The Centre for Clinical Nutrition is a collaboration between the Department of Nutrition at the University of Oslo (UiO) and Oslo University Hospital (OUS), established in November 2014. The purpose is to strengthen patient treatment, research, and education in clinical nutrition. The centre is located at Domus Medica at Gaustad.
The Centre for Clinical Nutrition consists of four entities: the Nutrition Outpatient Clinic, the National Competence Service for Disease-Related Malnutrition, the Skills Center, and the Core Facility for clinical nutrition studies. The leaders of these four entities make up the centre's management team, which includes Nicole Warmbrodt, Ingvild Paur, Hilde Kristin Brekke, and Christine Henriksen.

The outpatient nutrition clinic
The outpatient clinic treats patients with nutritional challenges, and aims to increase awareness of disease-related malnutrition among patients and healthcare professionals at OUS. Patients must be referred by a treating physician at OUS.
The skill centre in clinical nutrition
The skill centre in clinical nutrition has been established to ensure that students develop adequate clinical skills to practice their profession in healthcare. Although the Skills Center is primarily aimed at students in clinical nutrition, it will also be used by students in medicine and dentistry.
The core facilities for clinical studies
The core facilities consist of treatment rooms with advanced equipment for measuring body composition, resting metabolism, a room for blood sampling, and a waiting area. The facilities are mainly used by research groups at the Department of Nutrition at IMB, but are also available for external users.
Norwegian advisory unit on disease related malnutrition
The Norwegian advisory unit on disease related malnutrition aims to gather, develop, and disseminate expertise on disease-related malnutrition in healthcare throughout the country. The purpose of this is to ensure better and more uniform quality of patient care, where nutrition is integrated as an integral part of medical treatment.
