Questions
Our long-term goal is to understand the molecular principles behind the 3-dimensional organization of the eukaryotic genome in the context of chromatin, and how 3-D genome folding contributes to the differentiation capacity of stem cells from adipose tissue.
Our projects include:
- identifying transitions in epigenetic states, chromosome-chromosome interactions and chromosome-nuclear envelope contacts during lineage-directed differentiation
- modeling these interactions in 3 and 4 dimensions
- identifying functional determinants of chromatin assembly
