Our long-term goals are to develop and optimize accurate dietary assessment methods and biological markers for use in large nutritional epidemiological studies with a minimum of introduced error.
Moreover, to identify potential nutritional challenges in food intake and meal patterns among different age groups in the Norwegian population which may call for a public health action.
A third goal is to add to the limited knowledge about how different food environments influence weight development, dietary and physical activity behaviour of schoolchildren/adolescents in a longitudinal perspective.
Lastly, our goal is to add knowledge about the health and environmental impact of current food patterns among Norwegian infants and young children as unsustainably produced food poses a global risk for people and planet survival.
