We work in large epidemiological cohorts and in clinical studies to increase the knowledge on how diet may influence the risk and prognosis of conditions and diseases such as cancer, frailty and diabetes type II .

Solid information on the nutrient content of food is essential for nutritional research. Our group has the main responsibility for the food and nutrient databases and software (KBS) developed and used at the Department of Nutrition. The software has been developed over several decades, and we continually work to keep the databases updated.
