About the group

Glycobiology in relation to diet-related diseases is the main theme of our research. Glycoconjugates comprise a wide group of molecules; our focus is on the proteoglycans.

We study changes in proteoglycans and distribution in relation to obesity in clinical studies and in mouse models, and  in human kidneys in relation to diabetes.

We also study nutritional-related health challenges in persons with intellectual disabilities.
