“The good, the bad and the ugly”. Why would we need a Centre for Healthy Ageing at the University of Oslo (UiO) and why should it be an inter-disciplinary approach? The 4th NO-Age meeting has compiled a high caliber inter-disciplinary speakers to share and discuss their expertise on such topics.

MSc Tharvesh Moideen Liyakat Ali at Institute of Basic Medical Sciences will be defending the thesis “Three-dimensional topology of the genome: A computational modeling perspective” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

MD Anton Baysa at Institute of Basic Medical Sciences will be defending the thesis “The role of p66ShcA and TLR9 signaling in myocardial remodeling and innate immune responses” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

MSc Laura Bojarskaite at Deparment of Molecular Medicine will be defending the thesis “Roles of Astrocytes in Sleep and Brain Waste Clearance” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

Msc Mikkel Elle Lepperød at Institute of Basic Medical Sciences will be defending the thesis “Dissecting neuronal circuits for navigation in experiments and models” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

The Throne Holst paper- and twitter awards will be arranged October 15th at 2.00-4.00 PM.

The Nansen Neuroscience Lectures (NNL) honour Nansen’s ground-breaking contribution to neuroscience, and since 10.10.10 the event is part of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters annual Nansen-celebration.
