Born 1969, certified as Anaesthesiologist 2003, PhD 2007 with the thesis "Reporting and improving quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) during out of hospital cardiac arrest".

He maintains an interest in quality of CPR, both as performed by bystanders and professionals, and his main research area continues to revolve among education and implementation.

He is elected board member of the Norwegian Resuscitation Council (www.nrr.org) and appointed leader of the institutional advisory board for CPR and cardiac arrest at Oslo University Hospital.
