Min Deng is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology, Center for Cancer Cell Reprogramming. He earned his Ph.D. in biomedical science from Maastricht University in 2023. During his Ph.D. studies, Min concentrated on exploring the influence of immune system activation and tumor-derived factors on the development of cancer cachexia. His research interests include gaining a mechanistic understanding of systemic inflammation and the processes of fat and muscle degradation in cancer-associated cachexia. Within MORGI, he aims to establish a multi-tissue system to model cachexia and delve into the mechanisms of tumor-host interactions and cancer cachexia using induced pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids.
