The adolescents that had lower scores on hopelessness after treatment showed long-term effects in terms of reductions in suicide attempts and self-harm. Important findings are presented in this new article in Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry (Mehlum et al) on the long-term follow-up of adolescents having received Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) or Enhanced Usual Care (EUC).
