Dr. Sharpe is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of immunology, autoimmunity and immunotherapy. Her work centers on T cell-B cell interactions in experimental models of autoimmunity, immune checkpoint inhibitory receptor blockade in clinical cancer therapy, the role of co-inhibitory receptors in antiviral immunity, as well as basic mechanisms of T cell-B cell interactions in the germinal center. She has authored more than 300 papers, with several appearing in Science, Cell, Immunity and Nature.
