Guest lecture - Stephen Beers

Dr. Stephen Beers will give a talk on April 24th.

The title of  Dr. Beers talk is "Impact of the Tumour Microenvironment and Host Factors on Responses to Antibody Therapy".

Dr. Beers is dedicated to elucidating antibody effector functions in the tumor microenvironment, unraveling the mechanisms underlying variable responses and tumor resistance.

The tumour microenvironment is multifaceted and heterogenous and has become established as a critical determinant of response to immunotherapy. Understanding its complexity in patients including the contribution of host factors such as body composition and modelling these in preclinical studies will likely be critical to enhancing outcomes.

Here we will demonstrate how environment can impact mAb mechanisms of action and efficacy, and ways we can better model the complexity of human cancers to deliver findings that can be taken to the clinic.

Dr. Stephen Beers is Professor of Immunology & Immunotherapy at the
University of Southampton, UK.

We look forward to your attendance!
