MS Genomics in the post GWAS era

Guest Lecture by Associate Professor Sergio Baranzini from the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Baranzini is an Associate Professor in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Research Group at the University of California, San Fransisco. His current research focuses on characterizing the molecular mechanisms of homeostasis and disease in the context of human and experimental demyelination.

His laboratory is a member of the International MS genetics consortium, which recently conducted the largest population-based genome-wide association study (GWAS) in MS. In his talk, Dr. Baranzini will discuss how MS genetics is moving forward in this post-GWAS era.

This lecture is free, and open to all.
