Guest lecture: Javier Corral

On December 19th dr. Javier Corral will present a guest lecture on "What nature tells us about antithrombin".

Javier Corral's lecture is followed by the trial lecture and presentation of the doctoral thesis of M.Sc. Elisabeth Andersen on Bleeding disorders, where Corral will be the 1. opponent.

About Javier Corral

Javier Corral is an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine at the University of Murcia in Spain. Since 2001, he has lead a research group on congenital thrombophilia at the same university.

Dr. Corral is the author of 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 16 invited reviews. He has written five book chapters, and has more than 3000 citations. His academic degree is a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Salamanca.

Javier Corral is a member of the editorial board of the Thrombosis Research Journal. He is ad hoc referee for about 20 biochemical, haematology, thrombosis and haemostasis, and genetic journals.

Corral is the Vice-president of the Spanish Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (SETH). He is an advisory board member of congresses of the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) and the European and Mediterranean League against Thrombotic Diseases (EMLTD).
