Workshop: Neutrophil and inflammasome related activation in atherosclerotic disease

Annual workshop for Innate immunity in cardiovascular disease.

This annual Workshop is the main meeting place for Center for Heart Failure Research’s focus area Innate immunity in cardiovascular disease.

The workshop will focus on how activation of neutrophil cells, including neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), and the inflammasome influence atherosclerosis and acute coronary syndromes.

Innate immunity in cardiovascular disease

The Focus Areas are dedicated to specific topics of interest to several groups in the Center for Heart Failure Research. The aim of each focus area is to facilitate exchange of ideas, common projects and collaboration with international partners.

The focus area for this workshop is Innate immunity in cardiovascular disease.

Focus Area Leader is Ragnhild Helseth, Center for Clinical Heart Research, Department of Cardiology, Oslo University Hospital Ullevål.
The workshop is co-organized by Professor Ingebjørg Seljeflot.
