Our research

We want to look at the effect of treatment based on the sleep examination at the time of diagnosis, after four weeks and after one year.

A sleep examination of sick and healthy children is conducted using polysomnography, polygraphy with audio and video recording, as well as the sleep monitor Somnofy.

Cooperation

In order to compare large amounts of data, and to look at legal and ethical challenges that may arise from the use of artificial intelligence in the health sector, the study is conducted in collaboration with the Departments of Informatics and of Private Law, as well as The Centre for Medical Ethics at Institute of Health and Society, all at UiO.

We will also look at the opportunities and risks that arise from collecting large amounts of data using sleep recordings, and the use of machine learning in the healthcare sector. It is intended that machine learning will be used to analyze, evaluate, and assess sleep recording data.

In addition, we want to publish de-identified breathing curves in an open database for further learning and research.
