Overdose deaths in Oslo in the period 2006-2008 (completed)

Norway is one of the countries in Europe with the highest number of overdose deaths in relation to the population.

About the project

Approximately 1/3 of all Norwegian overdose deaths take place in Oslo, and therefore, a survey was carried out, on behalf of the City of Oslo, into overdose deaths in Oslo for the period 2006-2008.

The study includes data from the Cause of Death Registry and information on the use of health and social services in Oslo during the period.

A sub-project highlights the use of acute health services by individuals who later died of overdose.
